Get structured article data from Google News by keyword, topic, or section.
List of keywords to search for. You can use Google News search operators: - Use '-' to exclude words (e.g. 'bitcoin -ethereum') - Use 'site:' to filter by specific website (e.g. 'bitcoin site:cnn.com') - Use 'OR' to search for multiple terms (e.g. 'bitcoin OR ethereum') - Use quotes for exact match (e.g. '"bitcoin price"')
Select one or more predefined Google News topics to scrape.
Provide custom Google News topic or section URLs to scrape. Useful for niche topics not in the predefined list. Example:
Maximum number of news to extract per keyword or topic (0 = no limit)
Time period for the news search. Note: this filter applies mainly to keyword searches. Topic pages return their own curated results.
Region and language for news search
If enabled, decodes Google News URLs to get the original article URLs. Note: This will significantly slow down the scraping process as each URL needs to be decoded individually.
If enabled, extracts the meta description from each article page. Note: This will significantly slow down the scraping process.

Extract news articles from Google News using keywords, predefined topics, or custom section URLs. Delivers article titles, sources, publication dates, and direct links for media monitoring or content analysis.
This tool provides a structured way to gather news articles from Google News. It's designed for public relations professionals, marketers, researchers, and anyone needing to track media coverage without manual searching. You can target articles in three ways: by providing a list of search keywords (with support for Google's search operators like `"exact match"` or `-exclude`), by selecting from standard Google News topics like 'Business' or 'Technology', or by supplying specific URLs for niche topics or regional sections. Key settings allow you to control the scope of the data collection. You can set a maximum number of articles to retrieve per target, filter keyword searches by time period (from the last hour to the last year), and specify the region and language for the results. For deeper analysis, you can enable options to decode the Google News link to get the final article URL, extract the article's meta description, or fetch its primary image. Note that these deeper extraction options provide more data but will slow down the collection process. The output is a clean, organized dataset containing the article's title, the name of the publisher, the publication date and time, a direct URL, and if requested, the article's description and main image URL.
Choose your method: enter keywords in the 'Search Keywords' field, select from the 'News Topics' list, or paste specific 'Custom Topic URLs'.
Set your limits by specifying the 'Maximum News' items to get and the 'Time Period' for keyword searches.
Select your target 'Region and Language' from the provided dropdown list.
Optionally, enable 'Decode Google News URLs' or 'Extract Article Descriptions' for more detailed data, keeping in mind this will extend the run time.
Run the tool and wait for the process to complete.
Download your collected news data in your preferred format.
