Proxy

An intermediary server that routes web requests, often used to mask the origin of scraping traffic.

Full definition

Proxies sit between a scraping tool and the target website, making requests appear to come from different IP addresses. Residential proxies use real consumer IPs and are hardest to detect. Datacenter proxies are cheaper but more easily blocked. SERP proxies are specialized for Google search results. Most modern scraping platforms include proxy management transparently.
